### Create REST API keys

To connect to your webshop, you will need to create a REST API keypair (consisting of a Consumer Key and Consumer Secret) with full read/write access in your WooCommerce environment first. Follow [the WooCommerce guide](https://woocommerce.github.io/woocommerce-rest-api-docs/#generating-api-keys-in-the-wordpress-admin-interface) to generate the REST API keys.

After you've successfully generated the read/write REST API keys, you're ready to fill in the details in WooPiq to start connecting to your WooCommerce store.

### 1. Webshop name

This name will be for internal use only and will not be shown on pick lists etc.

### 2. Webshop URL

The URL of your webshop (i.e. <https://www.mywebshop.com>). Make sure to leave the trailing slash out.

### **3. Consumer key**

A consumer key/secret pair with full read/write access will need to be created from your WooCommerce store first. Fill in the consumer key you should have retrieved from the previous step.

### **4. Consumer secret**

The consumer secret retrieved from the previous step. Your consumer secret should start with "**cs\_**".

Once you've filled in all above details, you're ready to start connecting to your WooCommerce store and start the orders and products synchronization. Click the Connect button and the connection to your WooCommerce store will be verified. If successfull, you will be redirected to the next step, where your store's orders and products will be synchronized to WooPiq.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://help.woopiq.com/installation/connecting-your-webshop.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
